Why Gluten Free?

Like 1 in 133 people, I am living with a gluten intolerance, also known as celiac sprue. Finally getting the proper diagnosis of the problem helped me to identify the dietary changes that are necessary in order to feel healthy.

Symptoms such as: chronic fatigue, dramatic weight loss, diarrhea, bloating, migraine headaches, anemia, and infertility are some of the more commonly noticed problems.

If your doctor suspects that you also have a gluten intolerance, the diagnosis can be confirmed through blood tests and a biopsy of the small intestine. Seeking medical diagnosis before changing your diet can make it easier to correctly assess your symptoms.

The information contained in this blog is intended to help you obtain the information that you will find most useful when it comes to navigating your way through a gluten free lifestyle. Recipes, shopping advice, and tips for surviving social occasions will be available to all!
